QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialized knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgment to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters. They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
COURSE DURATION.
Tasman International College will deliver this program of training over a period of 80 weeks.
This includes:
- 72 weeks of full-time study with 20 hours of structured, training and assessments activities each week.
- 8 weeks of holiday and breaks.
Course durations will be adjusted for both overseas and domestic students, and the Confirmation of Enrolments (“CoE”) will state “this CoE is subjected to the achievement of previous qualification” and the CoE dates will change if the student receives RPL or credit transfers which will change the duration of the course. The requirement for students to attend 20 hours of face-to-face classroom time per week will be unchanged.
DELIVERY MODE.
The delivery of this course is based on the principles of adult learning; participants will be given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and practice their skills by participating in all or some of the delivery methods identified below:
- Face-to-face, structured classroom delivery.
- Self-paced study to be done at home.
- Online reading and research.
ASSESSMENTS.
The official Training Package of this qualification provides assessment guidelines and competency standards for all the unit assessments and competencies to be conducted. Students will be required to complete a range of assessments such as, multiple choice questions, short answer questions, case studies, case scenarios, reports, project work, portfolios, and role-play activities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS.
To enter this qualification, applicants must have successfully completed year 12 or equivalent.
PREVIOUS QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.
Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions).
or
Have two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS.
Tasman International College accepts the following English language tests – International English Language Testing System (IELTS), TOEFL, iBT, Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), and TOEFL PBT.

AGE REQUIREMENTS.
All students must be 18 years old or above.
LLN & PTR.
All overseas learners will undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Test and a Pre-Training Review (including an interview) [PTR], which aims to identify their capacity and support needs during their education. The LLN Test and PTR also identify previous education or training, the relevance of the courses to the learner, and relevant previous experience. The PTR further aims to identify any possible RPL opportunities. Through the LLN Test and PTR, students will demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to successfully complete the course.
If learners do not meet the English and/or LLN requirements, learners will be asked to take further Language, literacy, and numeracy training e.g., English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Learners (ELICOS) programs at extra cost to the student (with other providers as Tasman International College does not offer ELICOS courses).
COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIREMENTS.
All learners enrolling into Tasman International College programs must have basic computer skills. Learners who do not possess basic computing skills will be provided with basic digital support.
OVERSEAS STUDENTS.
According to the ESOS Act (2000), Overseas Students can pay the full fee of the qualification of the course they are taking upfront if they wanted to but it is not a requirement to pay more than 50 percent upfront. Flexible payment plans are implemented to cater to individual financial needs.
DOMESTIC STUDENTS.
For domestic students, Tasman International College only accepts payments of less than AUD$1,500 from each student prior to the commencement of qualification.
After the commencement of the qualifications, Tasman International College may require students to pay additional fees in advance at any given time. Additional fees are attributed to tuition and other services for students, which do not exceed AUD $1500
